It all started in the year 1997, when Sandro Cocuzzi decided to build a ‘wooden jewel’ inspired by the old school Swiss watch mechanism and that marked the birth of Cucuzzi wooden watch. Cocuzzi’s watches are characterized by it’s master craftsmanship and the Italian designer’s eye for detail. The strap of the watch is made of wooden pieces composed into a mesh of wood with reinforcements and joints of stainless steel pins and bushings. The individual components of the locking mechanism are assembled individually in the upper side where the brand name ‘Cocuzzi’ is engraved in gold . The closure is operated by a wood button and is composed of 39 parts. The wooden surface passes through a series of treatments utilized in the marine industry to make the watch super sturdy and 100% water resistant. The wooden strap is finely polished to protect surfaces from external agents without altering the natural tint and highlighting colors and shapes. Each bracelet is unique, and the credit goes to the incomparable individuality that nature has given to each component of wood produced and assembled by hand. Simply stunning!
