French designer Tim Defleur’s OWO is a low tech watch made from raw materials. The minimalist watch is made from an unique combination of a cork frame and a woven wristband. The watch features white hands, against a pure white background. The designer has intentionally used the same color for the hands and background to create an interaction and allow the end user to control their awareness of the hour rather than feel rushed and distracted by ticking hands. How? Well, the watch is made of magnetic hands which become visible on the white background when the user shakes the watch. The iron particles ( steel dust) sticks to the magnetic hands making the hour and minutes visible in an approximate time frame of 10 minutes.
