Driade Rugs - http://dzinetrip.com/driade-rugs-by-designer-linde-burkhardt

Italian furniture company Driade in collaboration with German designer Linde Burkhardt presented the ‘Driade Rugs’ collection at the Salone del Mobile 2012 recently. The collection of these colorful tufted woolen carpets are a result of Burkhardt’s fascination with the Portuguese writer Fernando Pessoa and his alter egos:  Ålvaro de Campos, Alberto Caeiro, Ricard Reis, & Pessoa. “Fernando, Ålvaro, Alberto, & Ricardo, as eveybody knows, though still hard to believe are a single person: four different styles of writing for four different heteronyms of Pessoa.”

About Designer Linde Burkhardt:

Linde Burkhardt is an artist and designer. Over the years, she has evolved her style of expression from drawings, paintings and installation to creating carpets. She also has worked on numerous ceramic design projects which happened to her during the study of the possible methods of processing steel and combining steel and ceramic in a single project.

“All the different fields of work are closely connected and influence each other. The work with ceramics as a reference point on the one hand individual objects and objects for small and large, and the other points to the use of technical ceramics for the construction of installations or interventions that fall within the scope of art. Previous experience with glass and steel are the basis of the combination of ceramic and materials in more complex projects.” – says Linde Burkhardt
