Designed by Louis Garneau, the ‘Carbon Pro Team’ shoes by utilizes developments in shoe technology– including the use of the same cooling agent found in some gums to optimize fit and function. The model features insoles composed of ice-fil fabric, infused with xylitol (the same sugar alcohol used in gums that offer a cooling sensation). A thin, lightweight out-sole maximizes the amount of cycling power generated by keeping the foot close to the pedal. the rear heel features HRS-300 technology, an internal polymer system that secures the foot and optimizes fit, likewise reducing the loss of cycling power through slippage. The ‘Carbon Pro Team Shoes’ will be available in red and black by the beginning January 2012 and comes with a price tag of 324 USD.
