Do you like the idea of camping all year round? There’s no more worrying about the weather conditions and killer mosquitoes if you happen to be in Bonn, Germany. Hotelier Michael Bonner’s unique vision of creating an ‘Indoor Camping Experience‘ has given birth to the BaseCamp Bonn Young Hostel.
A 600 sq. metre vacant warehouse transformed in to a pseudo camp-site consists of 15 caravans, restored and redesigned based on different themes… There’s the ‘Jäger Hütte’ resembling a hunting cabin for the hunting lovers. If you are in a hippie-dippie mood, then you’d probably want to try the ‘Flower Power’ painted in an electric orange with 1960’s music posters inside. While the ‘Big Ben’ accommodates a British flag and Victorian-style seating outside, the ‘Hausboot’ is a sailors paradise featuring wooden oars, a traditional wooden steering wheel and a safety tube. During the night time, the space transforms into an illuminated space with a retrospective ambiance. Welcome to the BaseCamp Bonn Young Hostel – Where the fun people stay!!
