This antique folk art applique textile is the creation of folk artist from the state of Gujarat in India. The applique work has been done on a beige cotton fabric backing. It is entirely hand stitched with exemplary workmanship. The predominant colors are red, orange, indigo and green. The design motif is taken from nature, with birds and trees.
