Football photography by London based photographer Tomoki Momozono

While Brazil is getting all geared up to host the 2014 FIFA world cup, London based photographer Tomoki Momozono is busy capturing the exciting gaming action at the Premier League through his lens.  Through his photo series, Momozono draws an overall picture of the environment during the football season, both on and off the stadium. His series is a reflection of all the ‘big bucks’ involved in the game through public bus stands with large hoarding of players posing in T-shirts printed with sponsors and the patriotic bar owners restricting their space to only customers who support their favorite team.

While there is a passive sense of excitement & craziness during the daytime, the city turns into a melting pot of emotions, drama, anger, hysteria celebrating the love for the game of football. Momozono has captured some superb images  portraying emotions like  happiness, pride, excitement, anger, hysteria of players, both on and off the ground. As every story has an end, so does the game of football…..The empty stadium reminding suggesting that fans return back to their homes, some are happy while some are sad. The empty bottles in the bar, the next morning have a story to narrate…..the story of the game of football, the fans & their love for football… Beautifully captured!!!
