Experimental furniture design made from soft drink cans: Suicide Collection by BRC Designs

The ‘Suicide Furniture Collection’ is an experimental furniture collection designed by Benjamin Rollins Caldwell of BRC Designs get’s it’s name from the unhealthy soft drinks available in the market, which in a way is also a referred to as ‘suicide drinks’ as it contains harmful combinations of chemicals and high levels of sugar. While the focal point of the design is it’s irregular shape, the highlight is the use of the empty aluminum cans. An assorted combination of different cans have been put together to form somewhat like a patchwork, upholstered with nickel finished nails (for the chair). The cushions of the Suicide Chair are upholstered in soda can tabs which have been woven together using hemp string.
