New York based artist and designer Nicholas Croft collaborated with Michaela MacLeod of POLYMÉTIS to create a colourful outdoor installation as part of the 2013 Jardins de Métis International Garden Festival in Quebec, Canada. Based on a traditional tree wrapping technique, the artists utilized 1-inch thick fluorescent pink latex rope that was wrapped around the trunk. The rope was wrapped around the trunk from a height of 10 feet to the base and was continued onto the earth to form circular sitting areas. Similar to artist and photographer Olsen Zander’s project ‘Tree, Line’, what really makes this project a super hit is the striking ‘Pink Punch’.
