Temporary Refuge is a prefabricated structure designed by Cimini Architettura that adopts green home design concepts. This green house design was created to be placed in mountain area. The Eco-Temporary Refuge was designed to have portability and easy to be deployed and dismantled. Piston type tires, completed with 9 pillars Lukas Hydraulik are used for the structure. When installed, the refuge rests on several pillars to minimize contact to the soil, minimizing damage to the environment. It is designed to accommodate up to six people. The house is designed to have self-energy source, with a 4 kW solar panel, used for electricity and underfloor heating system.
The house embraces the snow as a thermal insulation and is used in the sewage treatment of the house, converting it to hot water. Snow is also used as fresh water source, with the using of snow transformation system. The glasses used for the windows have good insulation properties, to trap the heat on winter, and when summer, they are opened to provide natural ventilation. By all means, this green housing system is a great refuge for all the explorers and researchers who are looking for some rest and comforts of home while high up in the mountains.
