The Rama chair is the latest product developed by Kristalia. Its evocative Spanish name Rama, meaning ‘branch’, already reveals the main feature of the product, that is, the predominant presence of wood. The chair features a multi-plywood structure supported by an almost invisible frame in pressure die-cast aluminium and solid wood legs. The chair will be presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. It will be the first product of a future series featuring different versions and finishes.
The project, by the Ramos Bassols studio, was love at first sight, or rather, at the first e-mail. An e-mail presenting the project immediately ignited a spark between Kristalia and the designers. The products designed by the studio are not only elegant but also have warm appeal, perfectly blending with the style of Kristalia.
This has led to the creation of Rama, a chair with simple graceful lines, which can be stacked and is ideal for use in a residential or contract sector context. The chair is the result of the finely honed skills of the designers and the technology employed by Kristalia from the outset. It is a return to the woodworking techniques characteristic of the area where Kristalia is located; almost a hope that the “chair triangle” can return to its glorious position of the past (80% of chair production in Italy and 50% in Europe).
