PE Stripe Meltdown Chair By Tom Price

PE Stripe Meltdown Chair was one of the designs showcased by Industry Gallery at the Design Miami 2011. British designer Tom Price invented a heated metal chair-shaped tool to press into a stack of colourful woven plastic rugs on a solid stainless steel frame. The chair  is a prototype for the melted chair series as Price intends to create multiple works with the heated chair tool. The design is a real winner with its unconventional use of materials & technique.
