The Jar Lamp is designed by Avignon-based design firm Noon Studio. It is made from lathed oak with stained natural or black finish. The circular lamp has no switches or buttons, instead it has a rotating lid that act as a dimmer to control the light intensity. This Lamp is available in two different sizes – 125 mm x 280 mm and 250 mm x 280 mm
“We combined a traditional material, manufactured by hand, with a modern source of light to create a certain familiarity. Dimming the light by hand brings a functional tactile experience. The jar is containing the light as an element, as if it could escape, the lid delicately control its release.”
