Immersion – Actors Diving into Character: Conceptual Photography by Tim Tadder

‘Immersion’ is one of the latest projects created by LA based photographer Tim Tadder. The conceptual photography series is an advancement to his ‘Fish Heads‘ series, creating another dynamic set of images playing with water’s natural surface tension. The aim of the project was to create bigger action,  submersion and more intensity! The project was realized in collaboration with students from the Master’s of Fine Arts and acting programs at the University of San Diego. The students immersed into various roles from the famous William Shakespeare‘s pieces including Launce, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Romeo, Romeo and Juliet, Titania, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Henry V, Henry V, Macbeth, Macbeth, Hecate, Macbeth, Ariel, The Tempest, and Lady Macbeth, Macbeth.  The result is a dynamic series of images which speak to the transformation an actor undergoes when they “dive” into a role.
