After the success of French architect Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance’s Air France lounge design, Scandinavian design leader IKEA has created a temporary longue in Paris’ Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport’s Terminal 3. The ‘IKEA Lounge’ is spread out over a 200-square meter area consisting of 9 rooms, a living room, and a children’s area, furnished with TVs, sofas and beds with IKEA mattresses. IKEA decided to install this lounge with the aim of providing a relaxing environment for the passengers waiting to catch connecting flights. The IKEA Longue will be open until 5 August 2012 for those who wish to experience IKEA’s slogan, “commitment of improving the everyday life for the many…”
