The Green Wall project which is yet in its conceptual stage is designed by Serbian designer, Rade Kosanović. The project aims at creating energy efficient buildings leading to decreased carbon footprints of the building. It also acts as a insulation material to control noise, vibrations and sound penetration. Amongst the numerous advantages, one of the most important is that it would enable the air to be filtered creating healthy interior environments. The wall also acts as a barrier from solar radiations and heat penetration, while in the winter these living walls provides an additional layer of insulation keeping the cold out and warmth in. Above all, the building with green walls become a wonderful piece of living art making it aesthetically appealing and increasing the value of any property.
Kosanović is a graduate of the Belgrade Faculty of Applied Arts and Design and the owner of the design studio Abelo in Belgrade, Serbia. He has also been awarded by the Belgrade chamber of commerce in 2007 for his project ‘Window Garden’.
