German designer Meike Harde brings in new life to disposable cups through her decorative lamp shade called Lichtschlucker. Harde makes full use of the facts that the disposable cups available in the markets are often very good in quality and stiff enough to be rearranged together to create an altogether new object. The different models display the ‘N’ number of possible shapes through different arrangement of cups. Drinking cups are simply tied to balls or ring-formations, while the Italian colour intensive and ornamental cups are connected to create lenses, cylinders, bowl-forms or molecule structures & free mixed shapes to create some amazing eco-friendly, long lasting and functional home décor products.
