Designed by Stephan Schulz, the ‘Comfy Cargo Chair’’ is a three dimensional metal grid with hollow spaces which can be utilised to fill in with personal stuff like soft toys, pillows, blankets, books etc. The chair was designed with the intention of creating a chair which doesn’t have a predetermined surface and gives the user an opportunity to alter the design to create an individual expression. Stephen says, “Conceptually the open framework of the chair is meant to assist a creative acquisition, a ‘nesting’ process.”
