The ClickTape tape dispenser by Derk Reilink is a redesign of the traditional tape dispenser and designed to do things differently. The minimalistic approach brings the product down to its essentials. What makes the ClickTape stand out is the shape of the tape dispenser, which matches the shape of a traditional role of tape. The flexible plastic ring allows a role of tape to be easily clicked into the dispenser. This feature eliminates the need of a plastic roller used in traditional tape dispensers. The lean design makes the product a lightweight and very cost-effective in production. Just 12 grams of plastic is used for each ClickTape. No unnecessary plastic will be hurt in the production of this product.
To ensure a long product life cycle the ClickTape is fitted with a durable stainless steel blade. The shape of the blade matches the curvature of the ring shape design of the dispenser. A special indent just above the blade makes it easy to grab the end of the tape every time you use it. After tearing of a piece of tape the remaining tape will stick to the dispenser and not the blade, which keeps the end free to grab. When you have finished a role of tape the remaining core can be simply pushed out of the dispenser. This clever feature can is also useful when changing to a different kind of tape.
