With very little or no infrastructure for bikes, road safety is always a big concern and leaves most bikers frustrated when a hand signal goes ignored or the heavy duty four wheeler headlights completely dominating your blinking little lights.
Baku-based product designer Elnur Babayev has addressed this issue with his innovative design concept which provides a completely stress-free night riding experience. Cyclee is a sign projector concept designed for the safety of bike riders while they are riding at night. It projects relevant warning signs on the back of a rider, which change depending on the actions of the rider.
With the help of special chipset which inserted in the device, the entire program can be edited wirelessly. Projected signs can be modified through a mobile application, which is then transferred to the device.
Depending on the bicycle model, different mounting parts can be used to make the Cyclee adaptable to almost any bike.
The concept is uber cool, but the fact that the users would need to access their smartphones to change the warning signs raises a whole new set of questions regarding safety and user-friendliness. Any thoughts?
