Artist Peter Kowalski merges the past and present day Rome

The world is constantly changing and every human being has an individualistic perception about change. Each one of us wants to see a change for the betterment of the world. Polish artist Peter Kowalski is one such creative soul who has a strong desire to change the world and he expresses himself in a very artistic and colourful way.

Kowalski’s intention through his untitled project was to show how the city of Rome has changed over the decades and how it’s grown into an incredibly busy and complex metropolis. Each image consists of 3 to 5 photographs taken at different times and representing different architectural periods. Put together, they all seem to fall into places, dance with each other in an unexpectedly symbiotic way, co-existing in the mosaic of shapes and colours, symbolizing strength, diversification and synergy of the Rome as we know it today.
