    Started as a simple blog by designer Murtaza Baker with the idea of staying connected to the art & design community and sharing the creative works of artists, architects and designers with anyone who cared, DZine Trip has evolved into a full fledged online design publication.

    It is a hub in cyberspace devoted to art & design and welcomes everyone to discover their next inspiration from the incredible world of art and design.

    With contributions from creative writers, artists, architecture & design firms, independent designers and photographers, we aim to create an open sharing platform that fosters an exchange of positive commentary, connections and conversations to develop organically

    Dzine Trip’s mission is to create a global community of forward-thinking individuals passionately seeking meaning in creative expressions.

    Meet the Team:

    Murtaza Baker
    Founder & Editor-in-Chief

    Murtaza's love for design began while growing up in India. This passion for the subject led him to Mumbai’s Sir Jamshedjee Jeejebhoy School of Art, where he graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts with specialization in Interior Design. Murtaza has worked on high end residential & hospitality design projects, and has collaborated with numerous designers from around the world. He is an avid traveler and currently resides in the multicultural city of Montreal.

    John Thomson
    Editor-at-Large

    Writer / filmmaker John Thomson comes from a news and current affairs broadcasting background . He has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, majoring in painting, but is equally interested in all the arts especially architecture, urban design, city planning and the creation of public spaces. Based in Vancouver, he is a well-known contributor to many local, regional and national specialty magazines.
