Zero waste chair created from a single plywood board -

Known for his pet friendly furniture design, Korean furniture designer Seungji Mun is back with his latest creation called Economical Chair which aims at creating design with minimal industrial wastage.

Based on the similar concept as his previous collection The Four Brothers (4 chairs made from a 4′ x 8′ plywood board), the chair is fabricated from a standard plywood board of 4 feet by 8 feet. The minimalist chair design is created using plywood bending techniques, enabling an inexpensive and zero waste mass production. The chair is available in  3 different colours: birch, blue and white and is stackable.

Through this project, Mun hopes to change the perception towards industrial waste.
