Warde<\/strong> is an urban installation located in the heart of Jerusalem. Created by HQ Architects, <\/strong>the\u00a0project is developed as part of the municipality\u2019s effort to improve the urban space of the city center and\u00a0beautify the space of Vallero Square in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n The installation is composed of\u00a0four 9-meter high by 9-meter wide interactive sculptural\u00a0flowers, each one of them would\u00a0bloom and close individually in a fluid response to the pedestrians that pass underneath their red, over-sized petals.<\/p>\n Not only does the installation provide an aesthetic appeal to the open space, it also serves as a canopy, providing shade and light to passengers who stand under the flowers. The flowers are inflated with air as soon as\u00a0someone arrives underneath and gradually closes\u00a0itself when someone leaves. Also, the sculptures are synced with the trams approaching the station,\u00a0signaling the four flowers to open up\u00a0indicating its arrival and enabling people to catch their corresponding ride.<\/p>\n Check out the video and images below:<\/p>\n
