Sky Pool<\/strong>, a glass bottomed swimming pool was unveiled last week shall be\u00a0built as part of the Embassy Gardens<\/strong>,\u00a0a major new housing development in the Nine Elms district in south London.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n As the name suggests, the suspended swimming pool will\u00a0bridge two apartment buildings making it possible to swim between the two structures.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Commissioned by developed\u00a0Ballymore<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and designed by\u00a0HAL Architects<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in collaboration with\u00a0Arup Associates<\/a>, <\/strong>the pool will be 115 feet off the ground, 90 feet long,\u00a019 feet wide, and nearly 10 feet deep. It will also have an entirely transparent glass shell that is 8 inches thick.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The schemes lower levels shall be occupied\u00a0by lots of greenery designed by leading environmental design studio\u00a0Camlins<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The\u00a02,000-unit complex will include a business area, a gym and a rooftop bar with interiors designed by\u00a0Luis Bustamante<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Providing views of the embassy from the pool, this “structure free” pool is predicted to be\u00a0London\u2019s most distinctive building improvements.
