Yongkyu Kim<\/strong> and Jonghyun Baek<\/strong> of\u00a0Landscape design company\u00a0Ecoid\u00a0<\/strong>have created an innovative product designed to bring urban dwellers closer to nature. Cella<\/strong> is an unique contemporary planter created\u00a0<\/span>after a rigorous research and development. It was first developed while\u00a0Yongkyu Kim\u00a0<\/strong>was working on a\u00a0<\/strong>green roof research project called \u201cMosspebble\u201d at Harvard University\u2019s Graduate School of Design.<\/p>\n

Cella<\/strong> is specially constructed of flexible, lightweight plastic to house mosses and small plants. It creates a micro-climate that allows them to thrive both indoors and outdoors. Cella is uniquely adaptable in that it can be attached to walls and roofs, or simply stand alone. This portable, self-contained habitat comes in different sizes and can be linked with other units.\u00a0<\/span>The small, organic form of the units make efficient use of space to fit a garden in an urban home or apartment, and can be installed on any surface. There are no limits to your landscaping visions \u2013 grow a traditional garden on the floor, or have it climb up the walls and hang from the ceiling.<\/p>\n
