In recent times, architects have been experimenting with alternative building materials instead of traditionally used raw concrete. On the other hard, product & furniture designers have been attracted to the material and a lot of them are visualizing creative designs with concrete as the primary material.

South Korean designers Justin Joo and Jun Hwang of Studio 220+have created a table lamp which has a shade made of concrete. The ‘Light 0’ table lamp – a versatile lighting piece that mixes warm and cold materials, is composed of a lampshade made of concrete with exposed cable supported by a base in birch plywood. Two distinct elements especially designed to enhance the mobility and functionality, allowing, through three possibilities of position, to manage the lighting, going from a reflected light to a direct light, or left as a fascinating atmosphere lamp.
