Spanish designer Silvia Cenal Idarreta’s Macaron Lamp draws inspiration from the sweet meringue-based confection Macaron. While a Macaron can be made with simple ingredients like eggs, icing sugar, granulated sugar and almond powder, it is important to have a sense of proportion to achieve the desired taste.

The Macaron Lamp is based on a similar principal as the confectionery: simple materials and right proportions. The lamp consists of a round shaped wooden frame and solid wooden disc connected to each other using brightly coloured threads. A coordinating cord is attached to the wooden disc which holds the pendant. While the wood resembles the biscuits, the colourful threads symbolizes the ganache or buttercream sandwiched between the biscuits. Love the yummylicious design!!
