A San Francisco native, Elisabett Gudmann received her Bachelor of\u00a0Science from California State University, Sacramento. Her works are\u00a0included in numerous public and private collections and she recently\u00a0completed two major projects: a 55ft x 12ft multi panel wall installation\u00a0located in Paris, France, and a 28ft x 10ft multi wall installation located\u00a0in New York City.<\/p>\n

Kirk H. Slaughter conducted formal studies at the Herron School of Art, Indianapolis, IN, and the University of
\nKansas, Lawrence, KS.\u00a0They live and work in Northern California.<\/p>\n

The sculpture of Gino Miles<\/strong>\u00a0combines, in a contemporary context, his love of nature and energy for\u00a0both objects found in nature and classical sculpture. The balance of a piece in relationship to its spatial\u00a0position is a critical component of his work, often creating a\u00a0tension between space and sculpture. Primarily working with\u00a0fabricated bronze and stainless steel, each sculpture is unique\u00a0unto itself; no two are identical.\u00a0His recent series of knot sculptures were inspired by observing how\u00a0different plants – mainly morning glories and sweet peas \u2013 tied\u00a0themselves into knots and tangles enabling them to climb. While\u00a0his first experiments with the knot form were stylized images from\u00a0cut vine fragments, his renewed focus on the knot has a bold\u00a0abstract quality. They are deliberations in space and form and\u00a0intertwining elements; statements in their own right rather than\u00a0emulating movement found in nature.<\/p>\n
