\u201cNo other artist in the world is using epiphytes in this way to create living sculptures,\u201d Godman says. \u201cIt takes years to breed and grow the plants in the first place, so the artistic application is really the final step in a very long process.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe plants I\u2019m growing are mainly\u00a0Aechmea<\/i>,\u00a0Billbergia<\/i>,\u00a0Neoregelia<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Tillandsia<\/i>,\u201d Godman explains, adding that each of these genera of the family Bromeliaceae has its own strengths and suitabilities. \u201cThe plants I\u2019ve used in Rotating Air Garden, for instance, are\u00a0Tillandsia<\/i>\u00a0due to their environmental suitability and highly adaptive biology.\u201d<\/p>\n
