Azerbaijan based mixed-media artist\u00a0Faig Ahmed breaks and redefines the visual boundaries of the iconic middle eastern carpets, which are generally characterised by it’s beautiful symmetrical patterns. In his study about the\u00a0artistic qualities of Azerbaijani traditional rugs, Ahmed distorts the conventional structure and randomly rearranges the resulting components of the traditional composition and then reinterprets these fragments with contemporary sculptural forms.<\/p>\n

“To be honest, things I do are now always right and beautiful ones, I do it without thinking, it’s my instantaneous expression.
