Proposal for Taichung city cultural centre in Taiwan<\/strong><\/p>\n As part of a competition organized by the\u00a0Taichung City Government<\/a> in\u00a0Taiwan, the team of architects\u00a0from\u00a0Maxthreads Architectural Design & Planning designed the\u00a0Taichung City Cultural Centre<\/a> with the aim of\u00a0combining nature and innovative technology. The project defines\u00a0the northern arrival gateway to Taichung Gateway Park<\/a>, providing a public hub to the overall master plan.<\/p>\n An iconic visual corridor connects local and international arrivals (Transportation Centre) to the main cultural district of the city through a revived, vibrant pubic space.\u00a0The vision is to create an unconventional and exceptional gathering space for visitors and inhabitants, animated by public programme.<\/p>\n The Taichung Inverted Cone: Incorporating interactive, mixed-use public spaces, recreating boundaries between each program, while defining a new typology of Library and Fine Arts Museum: ‘The Galibrary’. ‘ The architectural expression for Taichung\u2019s City Culture Centre \u2013 ‘Galibrary’ has been inspired by the uniquely beautiful mountain-scape of Taroko Gorge National Park in Taiwan.<\/p>\n Maxthreads\u2019 proposal, therefore, introduces a strong relationship between the exterior and interior public spaces integrating into the Taichung Gateway Park.\u00a0The Taichung City Cultural Centre is designed thoroughly in conjunction with Taichung Gateway park, and includes the integration of culture, education, tourism, environmental conservation, carbon reduction, energy conservation and sustainability.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n
