Danish architect Sigurd Larsen’s out of the box imagination and a sense of eco consciousness is the result of this pop up store in Berlin<\/a> designed for his client Zalando Collection. The design which has been inspired by large wooden crates used in the shipping industry. The store features three free standing boxes, each of them with an unique\u00a0 identity, yet complimenting each other very well, almost appearing as a live art installations. All the\u00a0 boxes have cutouts of different sizes to function as hanging or shelving display and each of them holds a separate collection of clothing, shoes and accessories.\u00a0 The boxes are placed at angles to the concrete walls, guiding the visitor through the space as they discover the assorted rooms of the furniture. Concrete stools echo the materiality of the walls, and act as counterweights for the hangers of a fourth collection. Before the store opening, a 3-d wall was created next to the boxes by stacking white boxes used for goods distribution by the company. The idea was to create a pre-opening curtain in the form of the box wall which would slowly disintegrate to reveal a little bit of the store’s content each day.<\/p>\n
