While most of us spend those harsh wintery days posting screenshots of the weather conditions on Facebook, New Zealander Daniel Gray spent a rather unusual and extremely creative one building a colorful igloo<\/a> using empty milk cartons in the backyard of his girlfriend Kathleen Starrie’s mom in Edmonton, Canada. The original idea came to the mother Brigid Burton’s mind with the primary intention of keeping Daniel busy in his holidays. She started collecting empty milk cartons a few months back,\u00a0 filled them with colored water and set it out to form translucent ice bricks.<\/p>\n

“I wanted to keep him occupied, not with my daughter necessarily. I wanted to keep him busy with something else. I didn’t want Daniel to just be twiddling his thumbs while he’s here in Canada so I thought, this needs to be something that’s got some meat to it.” – says Brigid Burton<\/p>\n
