La Perla is a modern and very chic Spanish restaurant and tapas bar situated in the heart of Bath, UK. The hidden treasure La Perla is just off the north parade found and is found at the bottom of an unassuming flight of stairs below the pavement. Step in through the entrance however and you are in a contemporary tapas bar more likely found in the upmarket areas of Madrid or Barcelona. The interior is architecturally rich and beautiful with curved ceilings bringing intimacy in both dining areas. The restaurant is set in an old basement\/ cellar with a lounge-bar and separate dining areas. There is also a small outside dining and seating area for the summer times. There is an open style kitchen so the diner can see the fresh food being cooked by the chef\u2019s and this gives a relaxed atmosphere.<\/p>\n

No exceptions have been made with the interior design, maintaining the high quality throughout and mixing old with new. All the furniture and finishing are of high quality yet simple and effective. There are a few special features, with a wooden wicker ceiling and special LED lighting which changes colors through controlled timing. The LED lighting<\/a> really creates a spark and brings in a lot of life to the\u00a0 restaurant. The LED lighting transforms the space into a \u2018cool\u2019 blue giving a refreshing feel and the next minute is a \u2018hot\u2019 red creating different moods while chilling out in the bar. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere created by the mood changing lighting effects. Simply gorgeous! Check out some of the images captured with different color settings.<\/p>\n
