Taking into consideration the green design fundamentals, Toronto based architecture firm Paul Raff Studio has designed the Bluepoint Sales Pavilion in Phuket, Thailand which also serves as a sales office for the Bluepoint Residences. Paul Raff Studio received a honorable mention by The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada<\/a> for the project. The pavilion’s form is inspired by the region’s first known inhabitants: nomadic fisherman who worked and lived on their boats. Today, Thai fishermen continue to construct simple vessels by curving lengths of timber over a gunnel framework. These beautiful flowing forms exist as an iconic regional aesthetic. The architect has made an innovative use of a sustainable wood-composite material arrayed by the traditional geometric techniques of ship building, the pavilion generates a unique dynamic configuration.<\/p>\n
