After the great success of the Delta shelter (weekend holiday cabin) design, award winning architect Tom Kundig of Olson Kundig Architects has\u00a0 designed the chicken point cabin which is yet another inspirational lakeside shelter in the woods. The structure consists of a little box with a big window that opens to the surrounding landscape. The cabin\u2019s large window wall of 30 feet by 20 feet opens the entire living space to the forest and lake.\u00a0 Low maintenance materials like concrete block, steel, concrete floors and plywood have been utilized which has assisted in keeping with the notion of a cabin, and left unfinished to naturally age and acquire a patina that fits in with the natural setting.<\/p>\n

About Architect Tom Kundig:<\/em><\/p>\n

Tom Kundig is one of the most recognized architects in North America.
