Situated in Hainburg, Austria, the Martin Luther Church<\/strong>\u00a0is an unconventional and futuristic structure designed by\u00a0Coop Himmelb(l)au<\/strong>. \u00a0 The design was actually derived from a table with the entire roof construction resting on the legs of the table, that is, four steel columns. The design of this structure revolve around the play of light and transparency. Three window openings are created in the roof which is the main source of light into the interior. The number 3 has a religious significance which is correlated to\u00a0 the Trinity in Christian theology.\u00a0 The open space of the Martin Luther Church also encourages a sense of community that is further represented by a children\u2019s corner and public hall. The interiors of this church is very interesting with an unusual altar design and simple wooden chairs. A cross is cut out into a wooden sheet which stands behind the altar symbolizing the presence of the divine energy.<\/p>\n
