I have been a Sid Lee fan for a while now and have been following their work religiously. I previously wrote about their Urban Salon in Montreal situated at the Place Des Arts Metro station. The creative agency has its headquarters in the city of Montreal, with offices in Amsterdam, Austin, Paris & Toronto. Today, I would like to share some images and information about their Toronto office which I came across through Notable.

Sid Lee’s Toronto office is located in a newly renovated building in the Distillery District. The office consists of two different levels – one for the accounts department and the other is for the creative team. Conference rooms have been created using transparent glass, and are outfitted with chalkboards. The printing rooms are located in high foot traffic areas to ensure comfortable movement in space. The office space design allows one to indulge in casual, relaxing discussions, with giant beanbags and gathering tables on the first floor.

The space is characterized by its exposed wooden beams & unfinished concrete walls. Minimalist furniture & spunky wall art create an interesting and inspiring fusion design reflecting the ‘out of the box’ imagination of the creatives who work here. Instead of boring work cubicles, long wooden tables are used as working desks and everyone working here has the freedom to personalize the space by pinning personal photographs on the wooden beams, drawing a sketch on the wall or simply resting their bikes against a wall, creating a homelike working environment. Sounds like a dream workplace, right? All you creative minds who dream to work at Sid Lee…Raise your hands!
