‘Kirsten Armchair’, a beautiful wooden chair is one of the furniture pieces designed by Kirsten Coelho in collaboration with designer Khai Liew. The chair was created as part of the ‘collec+ors’ exhibition in Adelaide which featured Liew’s collaborations with a number of renowned Australian sculptors. Kirsten’s organic ceramic vessels were a striking complement to Liew’s linear design. Collec+ors was originally exhibited 2010, as part of the South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA). Earlier this year, it was selected to be part of the exclusive British Insurance Design of the Year Awards, which is affectionately known as ‘the Oscars of the design world’ which was displayed at London Design Museum till 7th August.
