After having successfully created amazing book installations ‘Biografies’ in her hometown in Madrid and at various countries across Europe, Spanish artist Alicia Martin is back with her latest edition of book installation called ‘Biografias VI’. The installation is made from thousands of books which are supported by a special metal framework inside. The metal framework does not only give the installation the desired shape, but also makes it safe and sturdy. However the books’ pages are left loose to create a little play & surprising element for the pedestrians. The installation is created as part of the International Paper Biennial in The Netherlands and will be on display at the Museum Meermanno in Hague until 25th November 2012.
