Art gallery hotel encapsulates the beauty of Japan -

With the immense popularity of trendy boutique hotels over the years, hotel brands are opening their doors to new creative ideas and experiments. Park Hotel Tokyo plans to add nine Artist Rooms each year over the next three years to create an entire Artist Floor, totaling 31 rooms

As part of its Artist in Hotel project, the hotel aims at transforming its standard guest rooms into a sensational cultural experience. The hotel has invited renowned Japanese artists from diverse disciplines to create original artworks. Every room encapsulates the artist’s passions and views of the world, with the artists painting on the walls and decorating the rooms with their paintings or art objects based on their inspiration while staying at the hotel.

Japanese artist Nanami Ishihara has created vibrant paintings on the walls & ceilings of the 8th room. Inspired by the lively Japanese festivals, the paintings depict the traditional Japanese symbols & motifs, colourful costumes & masks, women and animals.

“Extraordinary or ordinary, everyday or special. When I travel, I always feel the destination is special. It’s a special day, so my heart beats faster. A very special day, a festival. I felt the thrill of traveling to this place resonated with the excitement of the festival. I wanted the festival to never end. I thought I would paint this never-ending festival. I hope you enjoy the fleeting happiness of the joyous festival in this room.” – Nanami Ishihara

Through this project the hotel endeavors to reach out to foreign guests who are interested in Japanese aesthetics and arts in order to help enhance their cultural experiences during their stay. It offers visitors an unforgettable opportunity to enjoy art from the comfort of their hotel room. An art gallery hotel where the beauty of Japan is encapsulated!
