4Occhi: Glasses Designed by Giulio Iacchett

product-design-cool-glasses-01

These cool two pair in one glasses have been designed by Italian designer Giulio Iacchett who’s been near-sighted (almost 20/300 vision in both eyes) since he was ten. And so, Giulio Iacchetti designed glasses with four lenses and double frames. Though inspired by the classic bifocals, these glasses leave the wearer free to choose which lenses to use: for distance or close-up, for the sun or night use, for eye relaxation, for the mid-distance. The frames for this first, limited-series production are made by hand in Cadore from cellulose acetate, a plant-based plastic (the same once used for manufacturing combs and buttons) derived from cotton and wood fibers.
